Iranian Visually-Impaired Qari Recites Quran in Medina (+Video)
IQNA – Omid Reza Rahimi is a visually-impaired qari and Quran memorizer who is a member of Iran’s Quranic convoy for Hajj, known as the Noor (light) Convoy.
The convoy comprises Quran activists from different provinces of Iran has been dispatched to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina to perform Quranic programs for Hajj pilgrims.
In a program at the Mukhtara Plaza Hotel in Medina on Wednesday, May 17, 2025, Rahimi recited verses from Surah Al-Rahman.
In 2023, Rahimi came first in the memorization of the entire Quran category in Iran’s 40th National Holy Quran Competition.
